What a night. What a night. WHAT A NIGHT to be a Boston Celtics fan.
The LA Lakers didn't just lose… they got swept. Swept by a great Oklahoma City Thunder team. And listen — even without Luka Dončić, you'd think the Lakers could've pulled out at least ONE lousy game. Apparently not. Boston brooms are out tonight.
Lito feels good tonight.
And to all the Lakers fans reminding Celtics fans about blowing a 3-1 lead in the first round… getting swept is worse. Trust me. No fan wants to see the cameras pan across the crowd while fans wave brooms like it's a parade route.
Valter's probably somewhere just shaking his head saying:
"Kobe ain't walking back through that door."
And honestly? I'm almost positive LeBron is leaving LA. And if he stays, it's probably more about setting up the next chapter of his career and enjoying the weather than chasing another title in purple and gold.
Meanwhile, my guy "The People's Master Gunnery Sergeant" is probably asleep tonight with his fists clenched tight, flat-out furious.
Then there's my brother — a Lakers fan, but not exactly a diehard. Midlife crisis hit him and instead of buying a sports car or finding a younger wife… he became a La Liga soccer fan. Don't ask me to explain it. I can't.
But here in Boston?
The season's officially over.
The Lakers got swept.
And Celtics fans can finally let go of some of that bitterness from blowing the 3-1 lead and start looking ahead to next season and the draft.

I honestly wonder how many Celtics fans across the world are sending Lakers fans broom emojis tonight. 🧹☘️
Because this is Boston — the greatest sports city in the world — and LA fans always seem like they're rooting from some Hollywood movie set across the pond.
And somebody still needs to explain to me why Maxi Kleber was out there over Rui. And listen — Austin Reaves actually got a good look on that last shot… he just missed it. But let's be honest, Payton Pritchard probably buries that shot from the parking lot. Kobe probably would've hit it too. I had to rub that in.
JJ Redick's gonna have to answer questions all offseason long.
And honestly? I like JJ. But why anybody willingly signs up to coach the Lakers circus, I'll never understand.
Funny thing is, JJ Redick and Joe Mazzulla always look like they've got the exact same facial expression: like they just watched somebody back into their car in a parking lot.
